Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University Strengthens Faculty with New Appointments.

Samastipur : Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University has made significant strides in enhancing its faculty strength with the selection of 81 Assistant Professors, 9 Associate Professors, and 2 Professors. This development marks a major milestone in the university's pursuit of academic excellence.



The selection process for Assistant Professors was rigorous and spanned over one and a half years, involving a written test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and subsequent interviews. The selected candidates comprise  from 22 states including Kerala , Tamilnadu, Nagaland, Mizoram and others out of which approximately 30% are from Bihar. 




Vice Chancellor Dr. Punyavrat Suvimalendu Pandey expressed satisfaction with the selection process, highlighting the expected improvement in the teacher-student ratio and the infusion of fresh talent in academic programs, research initiatives, and extension activities.He said that thenew faculty members are expected to contribute significantly to the university's mission of advancing knowledge in agriculture and allied sciences, shaping the next generation of agricultural professionals, and enhancing research capabilities. With these appointments, the university is poised to further strengthen its academic offerings, increase stakeholder engagement, and make a meaningful impact in the field of agriculture. 

Dr Mrityunjay Kumar, Registrar of the University said that university's efforts to strengthen its faculty are part of its broader strategy to achieve academic excellence and become a leading institution in agricultural education and research. With the support of its faculty, staff, and students, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University is well-positioned to achieve its goals and promote sustainable agricultural practices.These new appointments will undoubtedly bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the university, contributing to its mission and shaping the future of agricultural education and research.

The appointment has been done after almost five years. With this appointment Dr Rajendra Prasad Central agriculture University has filled more than around 90. percent of its faculty strength,  in a short span of time which is a record amongst Central Universities of the country. The government has instructed all central universities to fill its faculty position in mission mode earlier.
