Samastipur ! Pusa, A two-day special meeting of the Research Council is being held at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, starting Monday. On the first day of the special meeting of the Research Council, scientists of the university presented more than fifty research projects.Addressing the scientists at the meeting, Vice Chancellor Dr. P.S. Pandey said that the quality of research in the university has improved significantly in the last one and a half years. He said that all scientists should explain in their research project how that project will benefit the people.
Research should be done on the basis of global, national, regional or local problems. He said that the research of the university should benefit the farmers and the society. He said that the university is strictly monitoring the research project. All the standards are also being followed in approving new projects. He said that the university is approving research projects only after three-level scanning. He said that it is necessary for all the scientists of the university to work on at least one research project, only then the scientific religion will be fulfilled properly.
Dr. Amit Kumar Saini, Dean of Fisheries, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Dr. Indu Shekhar, Dr. Vinod Kumar of Makhana Kendra Darbhanga participated as experts in the special meeting of the Research Council. In addition, Dr. Lipsa from Bhubaneswar joined online.
Dr. Saini said that the university is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. P.S. Pandey. He said that especially in the field of digital agriculture, decisive steps are being taken which are commendable. He said that Vice Chancellor Dr. Pandey is very serious about the quality of research and no laxity is being tolerated in this regard. This may cause some inconvenience to some people immediately, but it will be beneficial for their career in the long run.
Director of Research Dr. A.K. Singh also expressed his views in the program and gave detailed information about the special meeting of the research project. Dr. Mukesh Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.The meeting of the Research Council will continue tomorrow also. More than hundred research projects will be discussed in detail in the two-day program.
