Governor of Bihar inaugurated two days workshop on Natural Farming and it's scope under Changing Climate Scenario.

Samastipur ! Saturday, a two-day workshop on changing climatic conditions and the importance of organic farming wasl inaugurated at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University, Pusa. The chief guest of the event, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, stated that this discussion on natural farming for two days will surely result in solid decisions that will benefit the farmers.



 He emphasized the significance of natural farming in the current era of climate change and stated that our culture has always promoted the concept of organic farming, which has been forgotten by the people. He also highlighted the importance of Ayurvedic practices for the health and well-being of trees and suggested spreading awareness about it to every household and including it in school curriculum. 



He urged everyone to work towards becoming a global leader in agriculture.Governor Shri Arlekar   thanked Vice-Chancellor of Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Dr. Punyavrat Suvimalendu Pandey, and stressed the need for such workshops to be held regularly for the betterment of agriculture. 



VC of RPCAU Dr Punyavrat Suvimalendu Pandey explained how natural farming is not just beneficial for the environment but also economically profitable. Dr Pandey also stressed  to understand the secrets of nature and adopt natural farming methods in order to combat the adverse effects of climate change! He  highlighted the alarming rate at which our land is becoming barren due to chemical fertilizers and stressed on the importance of promoting indigenous cows and natural methods of farming. He also mentioned how cows can be used as natural pest control and urged farmers to utilize their presence in their fields. The event also saw the release of a book on natural farming practices! With experts from various fields coming together to discuss and promote organic farming, it is hoped that this workshop will serve as a starting point for a widespread adoption of sustainable practices in agriculture ! More then 200 delegates from the country including Five Vice Chancellor of Agricultural University are participating in the workshop !
