Takes Strides Towards International Education Standards

Pusa Samastipur, The Education Council Meeting of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University convened under the esteemed chairmanship of Dr. Punyavrat Suvimalendu Pandey, Vice Chancellor. The meeting served as a platform for intensive brainstorming, focusing on elevating education standards to meet international benchmarks.



A comprehensive roadmap was devised during the meeting, aimed at implementing the new education policy and expanding academic horizons by introducing new courses. The university aims to accommodate a burgeoning student body, with plans to increase enrollment up to 10,000 in the coming years. In a pioneering move, the meeting resolved to integrate principles and practices of natural farming into the agricultural curriculum. Notably, the university recently introduced an Agricultural Honors Course in Natural Farming, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the nation. Students will actively engage in village immersion programs, adopting farmers as part of their course curriculum.




Furthermore, recognizing the urgency of climate-resilient agriculture, the syllabus for agriculture and allied subjects will undergo a thorough reorientation.

Dr. Punyavrat Suvimalendu Pandey, Vice Chancellor, expressed enthusiasm about the university's proactive steps towards academic excellence. He emphasized the importance of aligning educational practices with global standards and fostering practical learning experiences for students.



The initiatives undertaken by Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University underscore its commitment to advancing agricultural education and research, thus contributing significantly to the agricultural sector's development.Director Education Dr Umakant Bahera, Registrar of the University Dr Mrityunjay Kumar, all deans , director, head of the department and academic incharge of the University participated in the deliberations!
